Obituary

Georgia "Jeanie" (Sears) Jacobs, 82, of Anderson went home to be with her Lord on July 17, 2014 at Community Hospital in Anderson.

She was born on March 9, 1932 in Shelburn, IN to George Dallas and Clytie (Myers) Sears.

She retired from Delco Remy in 1983. She later worked as a lunch lady at Anderson Community Schools and a waitress at MCL.

She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church, where she shared her love for her Lord Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Saviour.

She is survived by her children, Pam (Jack) Taylor, Jama Massey, Debbie (Thomas) Smith, Denise (Kenny) Burner, Becky (Randy) Hughes, and Brian Massey; 4 siblings, Virginia Lazenby, George (Jane) Sears, Candy (Brad) Power, and Greg (Becky) Sears; grandchildren, Matt Taylor, Brittany Taylor-Pratcher, Michael Taylor, Taylor Massey, Tyler Stephens, Bobi (Casey) Alford, Kelly (Melissa) Buzan, Jake Smith, and Angie Gaines; Great-Grandchildren, Alexis Pratcher, Olivia Pratcher, Landon Duis, and Dakota Taylor; a special friend, Violet Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, James Jacobs and the love of her life, Gordon Stohler; daughter, Jeaneane Jacobs, and a sister, Carolyn Brooks.

The funeral service will be on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 1:00pm at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Tom Lutz officiating. The burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery.
The visitation will be from 11:00am - 1:00pm on Saturday at the funeral home.

Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service handled the arrangements.

Because of her great love for cats, memorial contributions may be given to the Madison County Humane Society.
