SPENCER: Arthur John Gauthier,Sr. 71, formerly of Cranberry Meadow Rd., Spencer, passed away peacefully July 5th at Quaboag Nursing Home.
He leaves his first wife Patricia (Cote) Kirk, his children; Wanita Letendre , John Gauthier, Laurie Cassavant , Michael Gauthier, Wendy Gauthier, Dianna Larson, Arthur Gauthier, Jr, Tracy Davis and Jeniffer Cook. His second wife Marilyn (Ramsey) pre-deceased him as well as his son Mario Goldsberry. Both of his parents and his brother Mark were waiting for him after he passed. He also leaves his oldest and youngest sisters Delys (Wood) Schupe and Faye Parsons-Zasada.
Arthur was a graduate of DPHS. He was the owner of Gauthier Lumber Company and Gauthier Trout Farm.
He will always be remembered for his life long love of wood and his sawmill. He spent much time salmon fishing and raising rainbow trout from eggs to stocking fish ponds along with his own. Arthur enjoyed going to car races and sharing the experience with others.
A remembrance of memories of his life will occur at the Brookfield Congregational Church, 8 Common Street, Brookfield on July 26t., 2014 at 2 PM followed by a gathering of family and friends. J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer is directing arrangements for the family.
