SOUTHBRIDGE – Merrill J. Lamothe, 87, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.
He leaves his wife of 46 years, Pauline M. (Lamothe) Lamothe; 2 sons, Merrill H. “Junior” Lamothe and his fiancée Debbie, and Roger H. Leblanc and his wife Diana, all of Dudley.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Donat and Corina (Dupaul) Lamothe and lived in Southbridge most of his life.
Mr. Lamothe was a construction laborer for Corio Brothers in Worcester for 25 years, retiring in 1989.
He had been an active member of the former Sacred Heart Church.
The funeral will be held Monday, July 21, at 10:00 AM in St. Stephen’s Church, Corner of Rts. 131 & 197,Quinebaug, CT (please meet at the church). Burial will be in St. George’s Cemetery, Southbridge. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster.
