Hubert “Huddy” Heath, 68, of Berrien County, Georgia, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Saturday, July 19, 2014, at the Lax Community Church in Irwin County, with the Rev. Randy Baldwin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 6 to 8, at The Paulk Funeral Home, Ocilla.
Mr. Heath was born September 4, 1945, in Canton, Georgia, to the late Clifford William and Delda Lee Patterson Heath. He had lived in Berrien County for 26 years. He was a farmer and enjoyed his work, gardening and fishing. Mr. Heath was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife: Debbie Busbin Heath of Alapaha; sons: Bill & Zandra Heath of Fitzgerald, Dicky Heath of Nashville, Richard & Lori Heath of Hahira and Clifford & Melanie Heath of Alapaha; daughters: Sunshine H. & Andy Rowe of Ambrose, Betty Jean H. & Randall Moore of Tifton; grandchildren: Laura Heath, Laurie Heath, Sabrina Sutton, Destiny Sutton, Justus Heath, Austin McIntyre, Michael Bright, John Adam Rowe, McKenzie Webb, Andrew Webb, Michael Heath, Lexi Heath, Kimberly Heath, Hannah Moore and Shelby Moore; one great-grandchild: Michael Jordan Clark; brothers: Johnny W. Heath of Greenville, South Carolina, Wheeler “Ricky” Heath of Adel; sisters: Helen Brooks of Ocilla, Christine Clark of Fitzgerald, Imojean Rogers of Irwinville, Geraldine Paulk of Irwinville, Virginia Hitt of Alapaha and Audrey O’Hagan of Nashville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: William “Bill” Heath and Jimmy Heath and a sister: Kathleen Walker.
