Francina M. Esposito, 97, of Derry, passed Tuesday July 15, 2014 at her residence, after a period of declining health. She was born September 11, 1916 in Bloomfield, VT and was a daughter of the late Harry P. and Maude (Gould) Scott. Mrs. Esposito is a former resident of Londonderry and has resided in Derry since 1985.
Mrs. Esposito was a homemaker and raised 6 daughters and 1 son. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration of Derry and the Alder Guild. She was also a longtime volunteer with the Son Shine Soup Kitchen of Derry. She enjoyed gardening, camping, traveling to see family and trips with church and senior groups. She also loved her many special friends at her Tuesday bible study.
Members of the family include her five daughters, Anita Marquis of Winter haven, FL., Mary Bienvenue of Bath, NH, Marilyn Morse of Mo., Florence Lasman of Epping, NH, and Cheryl Schramm of Westford, MA., numerous grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, her brother, Shirley Scott of Texas, half brother, Charles Gadwah of Wells River, VT, half sister, Patricia Brock of Vernon, CT, two special nephews, Harry P. Scott of Duxbury, MA and Leslie Scott of E. Wareham, MA and many others. She was predeceased by her beloved husbands, Frederick Henery Bennett in 1977 and Phillip Esposito in 1987 and by two children, her daughter, Beatrice Guay and her son Lloyd Bennett.
After cremation, a memorial service was celebrated Monday, July 21, 2014 at 10am in the Church of the Transfiguration, 1 Hood Rd. Derry. Private interment was held in Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Son Shine Soup Kitchen, 4 Crystal Ave., Derry, NH 03038 and the Church of the Transfiguration, 1 Hood Road, Derry, NH.
