LAWRENCE – Viola E. Haynes, 88 passed away Tuesday July 15, 2014 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.
Born in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of Ralph and Elizabeth (Rausch) Haynes and was a graduate of the Edward F. Searles High School in Methuen Class of 1944. During World War II Viola worked for Hytron manufacturing radio tubes for the American Troops. Viola was an assembler for 35 years at Western Electric and later AT&T in North Andover, MA and was a member of the Pioneers of America.
She enjoyed going to the movies, watching television especially the Golden Girls and taking cruises and had a love for animals.
Viola is survived by her twin sister Virginia (Haynes) Craddock of Methuen, MA and was predeceased by a very close friend Rita Stapleton.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours for family and friends will be Thursday from 3:00pm – 7:00pm at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00am in the funeral home with burial to follow in the Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
