Shirley (Lafferty) Kozik, 85, of Dartmouth died July 15, 2014 at Alden Court after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Benon Y. Kozik.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late James W. and Mary (Alfonso) Lafferty, she lived in New Bedford before moving to Dartmouth in 1967.
Shirley was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church.
She was formerly employed as a medical secretary at Hawthorne Medical Associates for many years until her retirement.
Shirley enjoyed tennis, golf, volunteering at church and spending time in Bermuda.
Survivors include 2 sons, James Kozik and his wife Maura of Flowery Branch, GA and Benon Kozik and his wife Debbie of Auburn, MA; a daughter, Marcia Douglas and her husband Lance of Lakeville; 4 grandchildren, Janna Asquith, Jeffrey Kozik, Samantha Kozik and Max Douglas.
She was the sister of the late James Lafferty, Jr.
Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 23rd at 10:30 AM in St. Julie Billiart Church. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
