CHICOPEE – Audrey B. (Laskowski) King, 77, of the Willimansett section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Monday, July 14, 2014. She passed into Eternal Life at her home surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born at home in Chicopee on July 30, 1936, a beloved daughter of the late Fred A. and Helen (Masse) Laskowski. She was raised in Chicopee, attended local schools and was a lifelong resident of the city. Active in her faith, she was a longtime communicant of Saint Anthony of Padua Church in Willimansett. She leaves her beloved husband of 59 years, Robert Irving King; her loving daughter, Debra A. King of Chicopee; her cherished grandson, Robert Israel King of Malden, MA; her dear sisters, Lorraine Cash of Chicopee and Helen Keunzel of Concord, NC; her dear brother-in-law, Arthur Boudreau of Southampton; her dear sister-in-law, Lucille Dietrich of Chicopee; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins and extended members of the King, Laskowski and Dietrich families. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her dear brothers and sister, Norman Dietrich, William Dietrich and Shirley Boudreau. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday morning, July 18, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 56 Saint Anthony Street, Chicopee, MA 01013. Her Committal Service will follow the Mass at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001.
