Leah T. (Baugh) Abbott, 49, of Anderson died on July 11, 2014 from complications following surgery.
She was born on September 30, 1964 in Muncie, IN and grew up in Anderson and graduated from Frankton High School in 1984.
She is survived by her mother, Judy (Covey) Baugh of Anderson; 2 children, Eric Abbott of Apopka, FL and Kalin Day of Alexandria; a sister, Teresa (husband, Danny) Barrett of Middletown; a brother, Tim Whitworth of Anderson; 2 uncles, Michael (wife, Sharon) Covey of Arp, TX and Kirt (wife, Marsha) Baugh of Gas City; 8 nieces and nephews, Leslie Mirando, Andy Harry, Amber Learned, Tiffany Holmes, Curtis Whitworth, Billy Whitworth, Megan Baugh, and Jacob Baugh; several great nieces and nephews, cousins, and a longtime companion, Ron Barkdull.
She was preceded in death by her father, Manuel L. Baugh; a brother, Steve Baugh; aunt, Jackie Razor; grandparents, Viola and Herbert Covey and Bert and Stella Vanhoose.
The funeral service will be on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 12 noon with Rev. Bill Thompson officiating. The burial will take place in Hillsboro Cemetery.
The visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
