SALEM- Barbara A. (Lee) Mello, 69, of Beverly, formerly of Salem, died Monday, April 16, 2001, in the Shaughnessy-Kaplan Rehabilitation Hospital, Salem, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Bertha E. (Dawson) Lee. She was a lifelong resident of Salem until moving to Beverly seven years ago and was a former member of the Crombie Street Church in Salem.
Mrs. Mello is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry C. and Lisa Mello of Beverly, one daughter, Janice Homsey of Beverly, five grandchildren, Ryan C. Mello, Dennis C. Mello, Tyler C. Mello, Brieanna Homsey, all of Beverly, Justin C. Mello of Boston, one sister-in-law, Marie Lee of Swampscott and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Harold D. Lee, Lawrence E. Lee and Virginia M. MacMillan.
Her funeral service was held on Thursday, April 19, 2001 at 10 AM in the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, with her niece, Rev.
