Obituary

FALL RIVER … Armand L. Raiche, 91, of Fall River passed away, July 13, 2014, after a long illness.
He died at Kimwell Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center of Fall River.
Armand was the husband of Lillian A. (Rheaume) Raiche.
He was born in Westport a son of the late Jules and Maria (Corriveau) Raiche and was a lifelong resident of this city.
Mr. Raiche was owner of Armand Raiche Contracting retiring in 1986 after 55 years. He served his country in W.W. II attaining the rank of Sargent in the U.S. Army.
He was a communicant of St. Bernadette’s Parish, Fall River. Mr. Raiche was a member of the church’s Holy Name Society. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 12380, Msgr. Prevost 4th degree Knight, Past Grand Knight of Council #86, Past Faithful Navigator of Bishop Stang Assembly, Past President of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and was Manager of the St. Vincent’s Store, he was a recipient of the Top Hat Award for his many years of service to the store. Armand enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his widow, 2 sons: Richard A. Raiche of Fall River and Donald R. Raiche of Westport, 2 daughters: Diane J. Paquette of New Bedford and Suzanne A. Raiche of Eaton, NH, a brother Maurice Raiche of Fall River, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Irma Gowing.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday at 8 A.M. from the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernadette’s Parish, 529 Eastern Avenue, Fall River at 9 A.M. Kindly Omit Flowers please. Calling hours Wednesday 5 – 8 P.M. Entombment will be private.
