Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Ronald M. Reardon, Sr., 83, died Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Kindred Hospital in Peabody following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Phyllis M. (Susanno) Reardon.
Born in Boston on August 17, 1930, he was the son of the late James L. and Dorothy (Cordeau) Reardon. He was a lifelong resident of Gloucester and attended Gloucester public schools. He had also served in the National Guard for several years.
Ron was employed as a fish cutter at General Seafood’s and Birdseye in Gloucester for many years. He also worked as a warehouseman at Quincy Market Cold Storage in Gloucester for several years before his retirement. He loved fishing and playing cards with his family and many dear friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Ronald M. Reardon, Jr. and his companion, Sharon Psalidas, Edward L. Reardon and his wife, Jennifer and Robert K. Reardon and his fiancée, Yvonne Carpenter; a daughter, Faye Marie Noble; seven grandchildren, Katie Marshall, Adam, Erik, Kevin, Daniel, Evan and Sean Reardon; two great-grandchildren, Brendan and Emma Marshall and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his son, Bruce D. Reardon.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday in Cherry Hill Cemetery, Marsh St., Gloucester at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the charity of one’s choice.
