Bridgewater – Christopher P. O’Brien, 55, of New Bedford, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday July 5, 2014.
Chris was a carpenter by trade and owner of Old Rochester Construction. During his 30 year career, he built many homes in the greater New Bedford area. His hobbies included listening to and playing music, reading, and following the Red Sox and Patriots.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn A. (Benner) O’Brien of Fairhaven and their children; Sean and his wife Emily and their son Alexander of Franklin, MA, Craig, and his wife Angie and their sons Mason and Cody of, Leominster MA, Caitlyn, recently of Freshwater, Australia, and Collin of Fairhaven.
He is survived by his brothers Charles O’Brien and David O’Brien and sister Theresa Levine.
He was the son of the late Charles P. O’Brien and Patricia C. (Martin) O’Brien.
Memorial visitation will be held at the Wilson Chapel 479 County Street, New Bedford, on Thursday, July 17th, from 6 to 8pm. A private burial will take place in River-side Cemetery, Fairhaven .
