John L. Hegedus, 78, passed away Thursday July 10, 2014 at Diversicare of Seneca Place, Louisville, KY.
He was born in Freeburn, KY. to John C. and Alice (McGraw) Hegedus.
John was a retired self-employed Builder/Realtor, a member of Highland Park Christian Church, and was a U.S. Navy Korean War Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, and a Brother: Jimmy Hegedus.
Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Kay (Tomes) Hegedus; his children, Alice (Hegedus) Bronndus (Peter) and Angela Hegedus (Frank);
4 grandchildren: Jeremy, Brandy, Jonathan and Mitchell and 6 great grandchildren; 3 Brothers: Jerry Hegedus (Sharon), Henry Hartl (Helga) and Willie Hartl;
4 Sisters: Mary Alice Dotson (Jerry), Toni Carpenter, Memorye Hegedus and Reci Hartl.
Funeral Services will be held 12 Noon Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central.
Visitation will be Sunday 11:00 AM till 8:00 PM.
