Obituary

Mary R. (Padula) Lomberto, 96, of Franklin died July 8, shortly after arrival at Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Albert R. Lomberto who died in 1975.
Born in Woburn, November 24, 1917, the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Nellie (Marks) Padula, Mrs. Lomberto had lived in North Attleboro and Plainville prior to moving to Franklin 60 years ago.
In her earlier years Mrs. Lomberto had worked at the Mason Box Company, The Chocolate Factory in Mansfield, Texas Instruments and H&J Tool Company.
At the age of 42 Mrs. Lomberto went to beautician school. She then worked as a hairdresser for many years at her son Wayne’s Salon of Beauty in both Natick and Franklin.
When Mary was 18 she was crowned Miss Attleboro in a beauty pageant.
She was a very good cook who loved being with her large and extended family.
She is survived by her children, Wayne Lomberto of Woonsocket, Dennis Lomberto of Bellingham, Richard Lomberto of Marlboro and Gary Lomberto of Punta Gorda, Florida. She was the mother of the late Robert and Ronald Lomberto.
She is also survived by her siblings, Geraldine Doyle of Woburn and Anthony Padula of Franklin. She was the sister of 13 deceased brothers and sisters.
She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, July 14 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4-8 p.m.
