John Ferrick, 65, of Uxbridge formerly of Medway, died July 9 in his home following a long illness. He was the husband of the late Diane F. (Rigby) Ferrick who died in 2008.
Born in Natick, July 6, 1949, the son of the late James and Marie (Hogan) Ferrick, Mr. Ferrick was raised in Natick and had lived in Medway for 25 years prior to moving to Uxbridge 2 years ago.
Mr. Ferrick had worked for the Town of Wellesley from 1979 until retiring in 2009.
He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War attaining the rank of Airman First Class.
John loved music, family gatherings and especially being with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters, Melissa M. Allers and her husband Robert of Millville and Lisa A. Currivan and her husband Brad of Franklin.
He was the brother of the late James Ferrick.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Barrett, Alisha, Kayla, Ashley and Shane.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 15 from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church at 10:00.
Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Natick.
Calling hours will be on Monday from 5-8p.m.
