Obituary

GRANBY – Alice M. (Bushey) Grenier, 69, of Granby, was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, July 9, 2014. She passed into Eternal Life at her home in Granby surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born at home in Chicopee on October 4, 1944, a beloved daughter of the late William J. and Rhea M. (LeClair) Bushey. She was raised in the Chicopee Falls section of Chicopee and moved to Granby in 1989. She was last employed as a Certified Nurse Assistant at the former Riverdale Gardens Nursing Home in West Springfield and the former Meadowood Nursing Home in South Hadley. Most of all, she was a wonderful homemaker to her family and showered them with her love and affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, Theodore R. Grenier who was Called Home on March 25, 2010. She leaves her devoted sons, William J. Grenier and his partner, Alan Lovell of Louisville, KY, and John C. Grenier and his wife, Sandra, of Granby; her three cherished grandchildren, Anthony Esposito and his fiancée, Moly Venne, Malisa Esposito-Grenier and Justin Grenier; her two cherished great-grandsons, Darrien and Aiden Esposito; her dear brothers and sister, Robert Bushey and his wife, Helen, Marion Roda and her husband, Paul, and Albert Bushey and his wife, Marilyn, all of Chicopee, and James “Butch” Bushey of West Springfield; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended members of the Grenier and Bushey families. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her dear brother, Kenneth Bushey. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday morning, July 16, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020 (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.). Her burial will follow the service at Precious Blood Cemetery, Willimansett Street, South Hadley, MA 01075. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
