Kathleen “Kathy” M. (Dunn) Daesen, 65, of Franklin, died July 8 in Milford Regional Medical Center after a long illness. She was the wife of Gerard Daesen.
Born in Boston, August 15, 1948, the daughter of the late John E. and Mary (Tracey) Dunn, Mrs. Daesen was raised in Roslindale and had lived in Franklin for the past 47 years.
Mrs. Daesen had worked for the past 25 years at Dean College where she was the secretary to the Vice President of Finance.
Kathy enjoyed doing crafts, needlework, gardening, but above all she loved being with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Stephen Daesen and his wife Deirdre of Wrentham and Jennifer deLannee and her husband Claude of Quarryville, Pennsylvania.
She is also survived by her siblings John Dunn of West Roxbury, MaryAnn Watts of Bellingham and Elizabeth Peter of Mansfield.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Marius, Andre, Magali and Ryan.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, July 12 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
