George N. Dalambakis, 60, of Worcester, died Thursday, July 3rd in his home. He leaves a niece, Kerrin A. Westerlind; two nephews, Daniel J. Westerlind and his wife, Lisa and Brian S. Westerlind and his wife, Amy; a brother-in-law, Paul J. Westerlind; five grandnephews and grandnieces. His sister, Tia Westerlind predeceased him.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Nicholas and Madeline (Zogas) Dalambakis and had worked as a landscaper for Rutland Nursery and later for himself. Mr. Dalambakis loved sports and attending local college football games. George had a love for animals and over the years was a caregiver to many pets.
His funeral is Thursday, July 10th with a service at 11:00 a.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. A visitation period will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
