SPENCER: Judith Ann McGuire Norkaitis, daughter of Mabel Brodeur and Philip McGuire, left this earth on July 2nd at 9:05 a.m., surrounded by her loving and adoring family. Her husband, soul mate and best friend of 60 years Robert Norkaitis held her hand. Her sons, Robert Norkaitis Jr. and his wife Karen. Tony Norkaitis and his wife Lisa. Her daughters Debbi Morissette and her husband Paul. Deirdre Pratte and her husband Corey. Dana Antanavica and her husband Stephan. Daughter Cecelia Gerard. She had 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 9 grandson-in-laws and 6 nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her sister Nancy Desplaines.
She was employed in the education and health care field and Hospice.
She was truly the light of our lives. The glue that held this very large family together. She possessed the ultimate mom ability to make you feel like you were her favorite. Always.
Her life was simple: Our Dad. Her kids. Their kids. Their pets. Her friends. Love. Kindness. Cooking. York Beach Maine. And Laughter. Always laughter. For those of you that knew our mom, you will all have a funny story to remember her by. We have countless.
Her love and commitment to our dad has shown us all the way to be a great loving mate. That commitment until the very end is worth every effort. She will be so very, very missed. We simply ask that you remember our mom, our dad’s wife, walking on the beach in Maine. On a beautiful sunny day… her favorite sweatshirt, pants rolled, feet in the water and her sparkling eyes and smile.
Our family will be celebrating our mom in a private service. In lieu of flowers, our family respectfully requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241. MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester is directing funeral arrangements.
