Mrs. Florence J. (Kolodziej) Tomczykowski, 83, of Lynn, died July 4 at The Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers, after a lengthy illness. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Pacewicz) Kolodziej and loving wife of Henry Tomczykowski, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage.
She was raised and educated in Lynn, a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1948. Florence was employed by the City of Lynn School Department as a secretary, retiring in 1994. She was a member of Local 1736 Lynn Retirees Organization, Lynn Classical Alumni and Friends and Polish Legion American Veterans Chapter 56 Auxiliary. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother who will be deeply missed.
Florence is survived her daughter, Carol White of Lynn; her sons, Frank Tomczykowski of Derry, N.H., David Tomczykowski and his wife Barbara of Wakefield; son-in-law, Charles White of Lynn; beloved grandchildren, Hilary, Alison, Andrew White, Christopher and Daniel Connor; sisters-in-law Marjorie Kolodziej and Mary Ostrowski, both of Lynn; several cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Kolodziej.
Service information: Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral from the NADWORNY FUNERAL HOME, 798 Western Ave., Lynn, on Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Grove Street, Lynnfield, at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn.
