Solange F. (LeNoir) Dupuis, 90, of New Bedford died Wednesday July 2, 2014 at Sacred Heart Home. She was the wife of the late Roland R. Dupuis.
Born in Clavier, Belgium, the daughter of the late Edmond and Laure (Charlier) LeNoir, she lived in New Bedford since 1947.
Mrs. Dupuis was formerly employed as a nurse's aide at Sacred Heart Home for 23 years until her retirement. She was also an accomplished cook, who served as a personal chef for the parents of Secretary of State John Kerry in Sarasota, Florida in the late 1940s.
She is survived by two sons, Reginald E. Dupuis and his wife Linda, and Daniel R. Dupuis, all of Taunton; a brother, Reginald LeNoir of Belgium; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of Sacred Heart Home, Tuesday at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday 6-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
