Fields, M. Frances, 87, passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her family, Wednesday, July 2, 2014 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marvin W. Fields.
She is survived by her five children; Joyce Slaten (John), Randall Fields (Sandy), Dennis Fields (Ronda), Yvonne Goodwin, and Darrell Fields; ten grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and sisters, Delta Mitchell and Mildred Logsdon. She was a long time member and Sunday school teacher at Gethsemane Baptist Church.
The family wishes to express our appreciation to the many caregivers at Wesley Manor nursing home who lovingly attended to our mother’s needs. Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial to follow at St. Stephens Cemetery, 1808 S.
