Fall River – Doris (Pontbriand) Mendrala, 81, of Fall River, formerly of Westport died unexpectedly, Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Mendrala was born in West Warwick, RI, daughter of the late Camille and Exilia (Latour) Pontbriand, and was a lifelong resident of Westport prior to moving to Fall River 10 years ago. She was a communicant of St. George Church, Westport.
She is survived by a son: Joseph Pryor of Fall River; 2 grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Joseph Pontbriand, Cecile Pontbriand, Lillian M. Manchester, Joan Ditucci and Rita Watts.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday, November 22, 2004 at 9:30 A.M. at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport.
Calling hours will be 1 hour prior to service from 8:30 – 9:30 A.M.
Interment will be private.
