Boscawen-----Jean Elizabeth Gilman, 83, of 325 DW Highway died Friday, June 27, 2014 at the Merrimack County Nursing Home where she resided for the last four years. Mrs. Gilman was the widow of Murray Gilman who died January 5, 2007.
Mrs. Gilman was born December 6, 1930 in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of the late Lawrence and Helen (Childs) Gaudreault. She was a Registered Nurse and had been employed by the State of New Hampshire for forty-one years, retiring in 1992.
Mrs. Gilman loved her grandchildren and family. She enjoyed scrapbooking, cooking, the ocean, animals and shopping.
Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia Ash of Concord, N.H. and Kathleen Hibbard of Bow, N.H.; four grandchildren, Tyler Ash and his wife, Allison, Ethan Ash and his fiancée, Reath, Keenan Hibbard and Tess Hibbard and two great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Gilman was predeceased by a son, Michael, in 1981, and by two sisters, Corinne Clark and Phyllis Leigteb. The family wishes to give special thanks to her friend and caregiver, Albina.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 1:00PM at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.
A private burial will be held at a later date at Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord, N.H.
