M. Jean (Bryce) Flanagan, 79, of Concord, NH, died June 30, 2014 at Kindred Hospital in Boston, MA after a brief illness
She was born in Bangor, ME on August 25, 1934 to Frank and Irene (Ireland) Bryce. She grew up in Bangor and lived in Manchester, NH for many years before moving to Concord 14 years ago.
Jean worked as a licensed practical nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor and the Veterans Administration Hospital in Manchester. She had also worked at Amoskeag Bank in Manchester.
She was predeceased by her husband, John L. Flanagan in 1974; her son, Michael J. Flanagan in 2012 and a sister, Sandra Morin in 2013.
The family includes two children, Sean B. Flanagan and his wife, Katie, of Greenville, NC and Elizabeth Nadeau and her husband, John, of Bradford, VT; a daughter in law, Karen (Hanna) Flanagan of Manchester; three grandchildren, Sean R. Flanagan and his wife, Kate, Kaitlyn McManus and her husband, Robb, and Tara Nadeau; two great grandchildren, Owen Flanagan and Gabriella McManus; two brothers, Robert Bryce and his wife, Cynthia, of Bangor, ME and Roger Bryce and his wife, Trude, of Florida; a brother in law, Fred Morin of Delaware; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester. Private burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Manchester.
