Obituary

IPSWICH: J. Christopher “Chris” Aiello, 51, formerly of Gloucester, died unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday, June 29, 2014.
Born in Gloucester on July 31, 1962, he was the son of Barbara J. (Brazier) Aiello of Manchester-by-the-Sea and the late Salvatore P. Aiello. He attended Gloucester public schools and was a graduate of the North Shore Vocational Technical School, Beverly class of 1980.
Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard, having been stationed at Montauk Point, Long Island and Station Merrimack River, Newburyport. He was honorably discharged at the rank of MK3 in April of 1985.
Regarded by his fellow tradesmen as one of the top heating specialist in the industry, he was employed by John S. Martin for twenty-five years. Chris was with Scott Milne Plumbing & Heating as lead technician for the past twelve years.
His passions included Formula One car racing, fishing and boating. He had a special affinity for planes and enjoyed trips to Punta Cana and Seattle and road trips to Vermont. He especially loved the 4th of July and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Michel M. Aiello of Ipswich; brother and sister-in-law, Jamie P. and Christine Aiello of Newburyport; his niece, Gennalee Aiello; his longtime companion, Nancy Blazak; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday morning in the Our Lady of Good Voyage Church at 11 a.m. In addition, a celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, July 9th at the Amaral-Baily Post #113, Manchester American Legion from 6 to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
