Obituary

Alfred A. Ferrara of West Roxbury, formerly of Boston’s West End, passed away on June 29, 2014. He was 96 years old.

Alfred was a very loyal friend and uncle to many as well as a very kind and generous man to all he encountered. He was a proud United States Army Veteran of World War II and he worked for many years as an ultrasound tech at the V.A. Hospital in West Roxbury. He loved spending time with his family and playing Santa Claus at the family Christmas party every year for all of the children of his nieces, nephews and cousins.

Alfred was the loving son of the late John and Mary (Musto). Loving brother of the late Charles (Carmine) Ferrara and Silvia “Sally” Brigandi. Dear uncle of John P. Ferrara of Melrose, Louise Knoth of Cincinnati OH, Virginia Mace of Melrose, Fred Ferrara of Wilmington, Mary Ann Patten of Malden, Anna Marie Milano of Windham, NH, Philip Brigandi of Detroit, MI and Linda Brigandi of West Yarmouth. He is also survived by many grand and great grand nieces and nephews who all loved him dearly.

Alfred's Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Theresa of Avila Chapel July 2, 2014.

Alfred was laid to rest with military honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
