Obituary

Worcester – Madie J. Landry, 92, of Worcester, died peacefully on Saturday, June 28th in the Christopher House Nursing Home.

Mr. Landry was married to the late, Lucille R. (Bishop) Landry who died on March 14, 1997. He is survived by a daughter, Ruth A. Viens and her husband Donald of Worcester; a brother Wallace Landry; a sister, Irene Collins; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

Madie was born in Jay, Maine; son of the late, Timothy and Alive (O’Brien) Landry and is also predeceased by a son, Robert J. Landry; two brothers, Emile and Lionel Landry and a sister, Rita Babineau.

Mr. Landry proudly served our country during World War II in the United States Coast Guard and worked for many years as a self employed plasterer until his retirement.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. George’s Church 38 Brattle Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 9 to 10 am in the funeral home before the funeral on Wednesday. Memorial contributions in memory of Madie may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
