Evelyn M. (McGuigan) Wright age 89 of Salem, NH, passed away peacefully Saturday at Windham Terrace, Windham, NH, surrounded by her loving family.
Evelyn was born in Lawrence, MA, where she grew up and was educated, and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1942. She was a long time resident of Salem, NH.
Evelyn was a retired supervisor for the IRS in Andover, MA. She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Salem. Evelyn loved the arts; beach, music, fashion, and traveling with her late husband Walter.
Everyone knew Evelyn as a proud and beautiful lady, who carried herself with dignity till the end of her life. A true matriarch, she enjoyed hosting gatherings for family and friends. She was a strong woman, who was committed to her family and her faith. Evelyn was full of life and laughter. She always had a special way of reaching out and caring for others. She was a great support to so many, encouraging others to achieve their full potential.
She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 61 years: Walter F. Wright and her brother Francis McGuigan.
She is survived by her Daughter: Sheila and her husband Dennis King of Salem, NH

William Wright of Manchester, NH
Sister: Betty Lagana of Merrimack, NH
Grandchildren: Erica, Kristen, Matthew, Allison, and Karen
Great Grandchildren: Kaleigh, Brady, Greta, Evan, Calista, Molly, Julia, Lucas, Alana, Peter, Gesele, and Darren. The family would like to extend their heart felt appreciation to the staff at Windham Terrace for their devotion, compassion, and wonderful care given to their parents.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, July 2nd at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Church, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem. Calling hours will be Tuesday.
