George E. ‘Skip’ Healy, 74, entered into Eternal Life with the Grace of God, surrounded by his family on Friday, June 27, 2014 at U-Mass/Memorial Hospital, University Campus in Worcester.
He is survived by his 4 daughters; Michele D. Bouvier and her husband Mark of Spencer, Susan M. Wilhelmy and her husband Richard of Boylston, Dawn H. McKeon and her husband Timothy of East Brookfield, and Anne M. Trainor and her husband Arlo of Hopkinton, 8 grandchildren; Laura and Kyle Bouvier, Alex, Aaron and Rachel Wilhelmy, Shannon and Kelley McKeon and Courtney Allen, a sister, Sandra Degnan, a brother, Henry Healy and many nieces and nephews.
Skip was born in Worcester son of the late George L. and Wanda H. (Kaminski) Healy, and was also predeceased by his beloved wife of 31 years, Madeleine R. (Ducharme) Healy who died in 1995, and 3 sisters; Georgette Daigle, Carol Posterro, and Theresa Kowalchek.
He attended Worcester Boys Trade and entered the U.S. Navy where he served from February 1957 to November 1973. He was assigned to the Atlantic Fleet, and also served in Vietnam, receiving the Vietnam Service Medal with a Bronze Star. He then worked for Norton Company (St. Gobain) where he retired in January 2001.
Skip was a member of the Auburn Elks, enjoyed fishing and gardening, was ‘A Man of faith’, and loved being with and enjoying his grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass for Skip will be Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 12 (noon) in St. Mary of the Hills Church, 630 Cross St., Boylston, burial with Military Honors will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester.
