Irene G. (Hiltz) DeFoe, 80, passed away Thursday, June 26,2014 at St. Camillus Health Center in Whitinsville.
Her husband of 39 years, Herbert J. DeFoe died in 1993.
She leaves behind a son, Philip ‘Chucky’ DeFoe of Woonsocket, R.I., 3 daughters; Marilyn Allen of Uxbridge, Karen Carroll of Las Vegas,NV., and Carolyn Trottier of Woonsocket, R.I. a brother; Murray Hiltz of Grafton, OH., 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Irene was born in Uxbridge a daughter of the late Lindsay and Helen (Aker) Hiltz and lived in Oxford for many years before moving to Douglas then Uxbridge.
She was also predeceased by a son Edward S. DeFoe who died in 1979.
Irene’s Funeral Service will be Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 11 AM, in the ROBERT J. MILLER-OXFORD FUNERAL HOME, 247 Main St., Oxford.
There will be a calling hour from 10AM to 11AM prior to the service.
Burial will follow in North Cemetery in Oxford.
