Walker, Ernest Ray, 80, Of Shepherdsville, KY passed away Friday June 28, 2014 at his home.
Ray was a native of Corbin, Ky. a retired locomotive engineer for the L & N & CSX Railroad. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran during Korea and a member of Shawnee Masonic Lodge #830.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Kevin Goldsmith.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ruth L. (Mobley); three children, Michael Walker (Gail), Sandra Payne (Frank) & Lonnie Walker; seven grandchildren, Jason & Jeremy Payne, Katie Walker, Lauren Payne, Laura Walker, Linzey & Lexi Walker.; three great grandchildren, Katie, Jayme & Kason.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday at the Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday & after 11:00 am Monday.
