Obituary

Arthur R. Forest, 91, of Woonsocket died Monday morning June 23, 2014 at Oakland Grove Health Care Center.
Born in Albion he was a son of the late François and Zenaide (Descoteaux) Forest. He was raised in Albion and resided most of his life in Pawtucket and Woonsocket.
Mr. Forest served in the United States Army during WWII. He received the European African Middle-Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and the Victory Medal.
Mr. Forest was employed at Berkshire Hathaway Inc. in Albion for many years and also worked in the jewelry industry at Union # 2 on Charles St. in Providence and later at Stop & Shop Supermarket.
Arthur was a member of the VFW and enjoyed keeping in touch with his extended family.
He is survived by two sisters Marie-Antoinette Maloney of Lincoln and Muriel Bileau of Blackstone. He was the brother of the late Roland and Rosario Forest, Aurore Metivier, Adrienne Gagne, Irene Leveillee, Cecile Latour, Clemmence Bolduc, Rita Breault and Therese Lanctot. He is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.
In accordance with Arthur’s wishes all service are private. Arrangements are by the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket.
