Obituary

Milade “Milo” Nessralla, age 91, of Brockton, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the VA Hospital in Boston. Lifelong resident of Brockton, he was the son of the late Charles P. and Mary (Asack) Nessralla. Milo was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1940 and an Army veteran of WWII. Before joining the army, he worked as a welder and machinist at the Quincy Shipyard. After the war, he and his brothers ran the family Dairy Farm through the 1940’s and 1950’s and in 1952 they purchased Poole’s Hardware Store which he ran until his recent illness. He also had been a photographer at the Narragansett Race Track and taught photography at the former Rhode Island School of Photography. Milo had been a Eucharistic Minister at the Chapel of Our Savior and was currently involved with the Holy Cross Ministries at Stonehill College. A talented archer and marksman, he was a member of the Brockton Archery Club; an avid sports fan; enjoyed boating, hunting, outdoor sports, swimming, and snorkeling. He was very mechanically inclined and enjoyed anything to do with machinery, mechanics and photography. He also loved to garden, entertain and cook, and took special pride in his ability to prepare Lebanese style food.
Milo is survived by two sisters: Nora Mone of Stoughton and Mary Ouellet of Mashpee; nine nieces and nephews: Mary E. and Paul E. Nessralla, John Mone, Peter, Edward and Anne Ouellet, Charles Nessralla, Shirley Francis and Maureen Nessralla, and many grand nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Edward, George “Danny”, and Peter Nessralla.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Monday 4-8pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Tuesday at 9am for a funeral mass in Christ the King Parish at 10am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
