Bonnie F. (Mickle) Rivera, Of Woburn, formerly of Cambridge, died Thursday morning, June 26, 2014, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Bonnie was raised in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge Rindge and Latin. She was the loving daughter of the late Eleanor (Carney) & Theodore Mickle.
Bonnie was a caring and loving mother to her four children and to many foster children. She cared for so many throughout her years, and was also a spectacular loving aunt to her loving nieces and nephews. One of her greatest joys was being able to help raise her grandchildren and her nieces. She donated much of her time at St. Catherine's School in Somerville and at the different dance events and competitions that all her children where involved in.
Bonnie enjoyed the occasional trip to Florida, but most enjoyed the summers she spent in Westford, MA at Wyman's Beach & Campground. She loved to dance, play bingo, swim and enjoyed a good joke every now and then.
Bonnie was the devoted mother of Kerri Rivera and her husband Al Mottolo of Bedford, Darielle Rivera and her husband Christopher Aurilio of Somerville, Gregory Rivera of Woburn and Yvette Rivera of Bedford. Loving grandmother of Brandon Mottolo, Jacob Mottolo, Kylee Hodnett, Tanner Aurilio and Mackenlee Aurilio. Sister of Dennis Mickle of Woburn, Robert Mickle of Florida, William Mickle, Kathleen Munyon of Stoneham and the late Brian Mickle. Aunt to many loving nieces, nephews and foster mother to many.
A funeral service will be held in the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. WOBURN, Wednesday, July 9th at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday July 8th; from 4 thru 8pm. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
