William Kamieniecki “Wild Bill” 95, of Goffstown, NH & Venice, FL, was surrounded by his family when he passed away on June 21, 2014, after a short illness.
He was born in Nashua, NH on May 5, 1919, one of ten children, to Victor and Anne (Dzmitiria) Kamieniecki. During the depression he left school to join the CC Camp which helped to build the Kancamagus Highway. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. After the war he got into real estate, owning and operating Lillian’s Motel in Nashua, NH.
Bill was an expert diver, winning the state amateur championship when he was 19. He carried that love for the water all of his life and continued to dive from boats into his 90’s. He loved his family, his friends and most of all singing. Very few days went by without him telling someone he loved them and singing a song.
Our “Shining Star” is survived by two daughters Pat Smith and husband Mike, and Lisa Kamieniecki; son Perry Kamieniecki; step-daughter Jacky Laverriere and husband Tom; his grandchildren Christine Telge, Cheri Easter, Daniel & Henry Pariseau, Kim Brombly, Kelley Kamieniecki, Amber Anderson, Korin Suarez, Lance, Amanda & Derek Laverriere; and 17 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Chesha Supry; sisters-in-law Marion, June & Betty Kamieniecki, Ruth Murphy, Jane Noyes; and daughter-in-law Jackie Kamieniecki, as well as many loved nieces, nephews and friends in New Hampshire and Venice, FL.
Bill was predeceased by wives Claire and Sylvia Kamieniecki; and brothers Michael, Steven, Adam, Charlie and Romeo Kamieniecki. He also lost his dear son Victor in 2009.
The family would like to thank the Harbor Staff at Bedford Falls and hospice nurses for their kindness and support.
A celebration of his life was held on Monday, June 30, 2014 at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 225 Hemlock St., Manchester, NH 03104. Burial was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Nashua, NH. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
