Verna M. DeLoria, age 55, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Genesis Health Care Center in Milford, Ma. She was born on Sept. 13, 1958 in England. She was a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Gunn) DeLoria. She worked as a teacher for Boston Public Schools for many years. She received her Master’s Degree from Boston University and also a Masters Degree from Simmons College. Verna loved being a teacher, loved her dogs and her many friends. Verna’s infectious smile will be missed by all. Verna leaves her loving sisters Antoinette “Toni” Fecteau of Franklin and Cathy DeLoria of Wilbraham, MA; her nieces Melissa, Samantha and Nicole and her nephew Joshua. Calling hours will be held on the morning of the funeral, Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee from 9-11 a.m. followed by a prayer service at 11 a.m. Burial will take place in St Rose de Lima Cemetery.
