In Wareham, June 22, 2014 J. Vincent Webster, Age 92, passed away in Tobey Hospital, following a period of failing health. Vincent was the husband of the late Celeste (Lopes) Webster. He was born in Taunton, the son of the late Joseph & Catherine (MacDonald) Webster. Vincent has resided in Taunton most of his life and in Marion the past four years. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. He was employed as a motor vehicle inspector and supervisor for the Registry of Motor Vehicles. Vincent was a member of the Taunton Elk’s #150, he enjoyed bowling, golfing, and working on heavy equipment and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his children James Webster and his wife JoAnn of Dighton and Paula Tosca and her husband Jeffrey of Marion. He also leaves his grandchildren James Webster Jr. of Dighton and Jeffrey Tosca Jr. of Marion. Vincent was preceded in death by his siblings Donald Webster and Leona Hagan. A funeral home service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Friday at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thursday from 5-8 pm. Burial will be in the family lot in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
