Laconia – Fleurette Marie-Paul Fernand (Tanguay) Landry Dumont , 85, of 30 County Drive and formerly of Somersworth, NH, went home to be with The Lord on Sunday, June 22, 2014.
Fleurette resided at the Belknap County Nursing Home in Laconia for the past four years. She was born to Alphonse and Leonie (Richard) Tanguay on November 20, 1928 in Johnson, Vermont. Fleurette was one of nine children and was predeceased by three sisters: Jermaine Brackett, Cecile Merrifield and Noella Caron, all of Sanford, Maine and one brother, Renaud Tanguay, of California. Still living are Clement Tanguay of Saco, Maine, Lionel Tanguay of Rye, N.H., Madeline Gravel of Rochester, N.H. and Rejeanne Bailie of Berwick, Maine along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Fleurette was devoted to her family and was predeceased by her first husband , Maurice Landry, who was the father of her two children: Donald Landry and his wife, Jeannette, of Rochester, N.H. and Susan Maupin and her husband, Willie, of Gilford, N.H. Also deceased, Flo’s second husband, Lucien Dumont , of Somersworth. She was part of the lives of his children: Connie Viel of Rochester and Randy Dumont of Lee, N.H. Flo has one granddaughter, her beloved Danielle Maupin.
Fleurette liked to be called Flo and was an adventurous and happy lady who loved to laugh. She worked in shoe factories and at General Electric in Somersworth. Then she ventured out to California in the mid ‘70’s to start a new life with her daughter. She retired from Hewlett Packard in Cupertino, Calif. in 1989. She loved to travel and took a motorcycle trip across the country in the early’90’s. She also enjoyed camping and playing bingo. She was a skilled crocheter and crocheted many afghans over the years and beautiful clothes for her granddaughter.
