Obituary

Frank Harold Moore, Sr., 87, of Gilford, NH, died Friday, June 20, 2014 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Margaret E. (Bradbury) Moore for 60 years.

Born in Winthrop on August 10, 1926, he was a son of the late Frank and Olive (Benjamin) Moore.

Mr. Moore was a resident of Gilford for the past 15 years and formerly resided in Walpole.

He graduated from Brockton High School and attended MIT studying engineering. In his last semester he was recruited by Harvey and Douglas Corporation. Before his retirement, he was the Executive Vice President of McGrath Industries.

Mr. Moore proudly served in the Marine Corps during WWII. He participated in action against the enemy while aboard the U.S.S. Hancock in the Leyte, Luzon, Iwo Jima, Okinawa and Japan operations.

Mr. Moore was a member of the Kiwanis in Brockton. He enjoyed watching the Yankees, deep sea fishing, listening to the music and ballroom dancing. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Besides his wife, he is survived by five children, Frank Moore, Jr. and his wife May of Hacienda Heights, CA, Sandi Moore-Beinoras and her husband John of Gilford, Jeffrey Moore of Fairhaven, Leslie Cameron and her husband Paul of Bernardston, MA and Kathryn Moore of Laconia, NH. He was the father of the late Gary Moore.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren, John and Maegan Beinoras, Allison and Avery Moore, Sara and Kerri Dubois and Sabrina and Abigail Kourafas.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main St. in Walpole (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) on Saturday, June 28 at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at the St. Timothy Church, 650 Nichols St. in Norwood at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5 – 8 p.m.
