Hubert Wesley Sumner, Sr., 74, died, Friday, June 20, 2014 at the Pruitt Health in Ocilla.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 P M, Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Ocilla with Elder Edward McIntyre officiating. Interment will be private. The family will be receiving friends from 2:30 pm, until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Mr. Sumner was born October 1, 1939 in Wheeler county Georgia to the late John Lewis and Selma Sears Sumner. He was a farmer and a heavy equipment operator most of his adult life, and was a member of Frank Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Turner Sumner of Ocilla; a son, Hubert Wesley Sumner, Jr.; a daughter, Mischelle Sumner of Ocilla; four grandchildren, Jacqueline Hutchinson, Lesley (Poo) Day, Priscilla (Sam) Day and Zachary Sumner; five great-grandchildren, Eathin Rodgers, Ashton and Gray Hutchinson, Jacob and Joshua Nicolas; a brother, Johnny (Mary) Sumner of Ocilla and a sister, Ann Smith (Herbert) of Jacksonville, FL. Many nieces and nephews also survive
