John D. McPartlin, 58, of East Bridgewater died on June 20 at Mass General Hospital in Boston, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Dorchester in 1955, he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth (Gray) McPartlin. He was employed by State Street Corp. in Quincy for many years. He loved his work, spending time with his family, listening to his music collection, reading books about local and american history, and walking.
He was the husband of Mary (Magnussen) McPartlin for 30 years, they lived in East Bridgewater for the past 21 years.
John is survived by his children Caitlin, Meghan and Kevin McPartlin all of East Bridgewater, his sister Elizabeth Bigham of Halifax. He was the proud grandpa ‘Bumpy’ of Haylie McPartlin also of East Bridgewater. He leaves behind his cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, an uncle, many nieces and nephews, friends and coworkers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services on June 24th at 10:15AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth St (Rte 58 @ the Rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00AM in the St. Bridget Church, Abington. Burial will follow in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Rockland. Visitation will be held on Monday June 23rd from 4:00-8:00.
