Phyllis M. Puorro of Middleton died unexpectedly on Thursday evening at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She was 73.
Phyllis was born and raised in Medford, the daughter of the late Michael and Theresa (Canale) Ritchie. She was a graduate of Medford High and worked for many years in the Woburn District Court. A resident of Lynnfield and later of Middleton, Phyllis was a proud owner with her husband of Felicia’s Restaurant in Stoneham. She was a devoted wife to her husband of 53 years, Fred as well as a loving mother to her sons and was a dear sister. Phyllis enjoyed the company of family and many friends.
The beloved wife of Fred Puorro, she was a devoted mother to Fred Puorro Jr. of Middleton, Mark Puorro and his partner Richard Goodrich of Groveland and Paul Puorro of Haverhill. She was a dear sister to Josephine Monbouquette and her husband Bill of Gloucester, Jeanette O’Neil of Foxboro and her late husband Steve and the late Matthew Ritchie. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford, Tuesday, June 24th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central Street, Stoneham at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home may visit at the funeral home on Monday 4 – 8 PM.
