Scott Sean Yerrington, 44, of Manchester died June 19, 2014 surrounded by his loving family after a period of declining health.
Born in Warwick, RI, on February 13, 1970, he was the son of Preston and Maureen (Gagne) Yerrington. He was educated in the local school system, having graduated Manchester West High School, class of 1989.
While serving in the US Army, he attended the Military Police School at Ft. Leonard Wood, where he became an expert marksman in Company F 787th Military Police Battalion. He also successfully completed the 209th NH Police Standards and Training course.
Prior to his illness, he had served as a part-time police officer for the Chester, NH police department.
Scott enjoyed riding his motorcycle, reading, writing, and poetry. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted son, brother, and uncle who cherished time spent with family.
He was predeceased by his father Preston Yerrington in 1990 as well as his brother Preston Yerrington in 1978.
Family members include his mother, Maureen Yerrington of Manchester; one sister, Valerie Cunningham and husband Robert Breig of Manchester; one brother, Ernie Yerrington and wife Jane of Manchester; nieces, Lauren, Allyson and Teresa Cunningham, Abby Yerrington; one nephew, Preston Yerrington; uncles, aunts and cousins. He is also survived by his favorite dog “Tucker”.
The funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm Street, Manchester, followed by committal services and burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
