Obituary

Philip A. Holmes, of Plymouth, died on June 17th at Golden Living Center Oak Hill in Middleboro after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 57. He is survived by his beloved wife Pamela (Smith) of Plymouth, his mother Jean S. Holmes of Plymouth and his daughter Amy Corrow also of Plymouth. He also leaves his brother Timothy Holmes of Portsmouth, RI and his 2 cherished grandchildren Matthew and Mia Corrow. Philip was the son of the late Walter Holmes and father of the late Philip Holmes Jr. (PJ).

Philip was born in Plymouth and had worked as a heavy construction equipment operator, for a local pool company and on local cranberry bogs. He had also been a volunteer firefighter for Carver and enjoyed cars, NASCAR, fishing, clamming, jet skiing, traveling, cooking and especially spending time with his family.

Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd (Rt 3A), Plymouth (Manomet) on Thursday, June 26th from 5 to 8 PM. A Celebration of his life will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 27th at 11 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations in his memory be made to Beth Israel Deaconess – Plymouth Cancer Center, 275 Sandwich St, Plymouth, MA 02360.
