TIVERTON, RI… Carlene Bertha (White) Plocica, age 84, of Tiverton passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014. She was the wife of the late Andrew J. Plocica. She was the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Mary S. (McLellan) White and had lived in Tiverton since 1968.
She was a 1948 graduate of B.M.C. Durfee. Carlene worked at Fall River Gas Company from 1948 – 1958 and 1979 – 1992, at the order desk for 22 years. She was a member of the Sunday Night Dinner Club with friends from High School. She enjoyed working in the yard, gardening, the Boston Red Sox and loved being a wife, mother and grandmother who gave unconditional love.
Survivors include 2 Daughters: Jean Bua and her husband Joseph of Franklin MA, and Susan Duva and her husband Anthony of N. Attleboro, 2 Sons: James Plocica of Dedham and Joseph Plocica and his fiancée Gina Sevigny of Tiverton RI, 2 Sisters: Merna Renaud of Fall River and Ardith Petrin of VA, 9 Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Mary White and Audrey Shott and her brothers Thomas, Raymond, Walter, Gerald and Alvan White.
Funeral Services to which relatives and friends are invited to will be Monday June 23 at 9AM at BOYKO MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 709 Broadway, Fall River. Followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 AM at Holy Ghost Church, Hooper St, Tiverton, RI. Interment will be private. Calling hours Sunday 4 – 7 PM.
