Obituary

John P. Galuszka, 98, of Milan, NH passed away on Wednesday June 18, 2014 at the St. Vincent de Paul Rehab and Nursing Center in Berlin. He was born in Hartford, CT on December 8, 1915 the son of Jacob and Rose (Wodecki) Galuszka and lived in CT before moving to Milan in 1962. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II and was a Life Member of the White Mountain Post #2520 VFW. John had been a member of Saints Cyril and Methodius Church in Hartford. He was an avid fly fisherman.

Family includes his sons John Galuszka II of Big Sur, CA, and Michael and wife Loretta of Milan; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Gladys F. (Gallant) Galuszka in 2010, a brother Walter, a sister Nell Weglarz and an infant brother Michael.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on June 30, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Church in Gorham. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield, CT. on Wednesday July 2 at 1 PM.The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Donations may be made in his memory to Holy Family Church in Gorham, NH or St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin or to a charity of one’s choice.
