Daniel (Danny) Oliveira, 58, died at Good Samaritan Hospital on Thursday, June 12, 2014, surrounded by his family. Danny was born in Winchester and lived in Woburn for many years before moving to N. Dighton. He was the husband of Jayne Oliveira.
Danny loved movies, the Red Sox and fishing with his son. He worked in the printing industry for most of his life, but also worked as a cab driver and a courier in his later years.
He will be sadly missed by his children, Daniel and his girlfriend Joanna Schembari of Woburn, and Katherine and her fiancé John Hartigan of Minnesota. He also leaves a granddaughter, Kara Rose Hartigan of Minnesota, his father, Albert P. Oliveira of N. Dighton, his sister Judith Skinner of North Attleboro, nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
Danny was predeceased by his mother Beatrice A. Oliveira and his brother Albert J. Oliveira.
Visiting hours will be 4:00-7:30 at the Taunton Funeral Home, 8 Crapo St., Taunton, MA, Sunday, June 22, with a memorial service directly following.
