Mooney, Walter L., of Marshfield, passed away on June 16 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of 54 years of Mary (Sullivan) Mooney. Loving father of Kevin Mooney and his wife Diane of Lancaster, Patrick Mooney of Halifax, Erin Gutman and her husband Ron of Mashpee, Maureen Mooney of Shutesbury and Kathleen Mooney of Plymouth. Loving grandfather of Tara, Patrick, Michael, John, Mary, Daniel and Deirdre Mooney, Zachary, Benjamin, Rachel, Rebecca, Trevor and Katherine Gutman and Hunter Breault. Dear brother of Vincent Mooney, Larry Mooney and Nancy Daley.
Walter was born in Jamaica, New York. He graduated from Delbarton High School in Morristown, NJ and Fordham University. Walter was a member of the Marshfield Country Club.
Visiting hours will be held in the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield on Friday, June 20 from 4 to 8 p.m.
Funeral from the funeral home on Saturday, June 21 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Christine’s Church, 1295 Main St., Rte. 3A in Marshfield at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will be held in Couch Cemetery in Marshfield.
